EU leaders scrutinized over anti-terror efforts

After reports revealed that both men responsible for killing a Catholic priest in Normandy were on a terrorism watch list, the French government is coming under increasing pressure to change its policies toward suspected terrorists. Right-wing opponents are calling for much harsher measures, while Germany’s chancellor, Angela Merkel, also faces growing calls to change her open-arms stance towards Syrian refugees after a series of terrorist attacks on German soil.
